Greg Smith caught this 11-lb blackfin snapper at the Garden Banks on May 23, 2025, fishing with DTB guide Joey Maciasz. The International Game Fish Association confirmed it as the All-Tackle world record in October 2025, and it also tops Louisiana’s state list.
Blackfin live in deep water, so they come up on long-range bottom trips. Ask the crew which trip reaches that water.
