Sight fishing makes the approach part of the reward. Your guide helps you read the water, spot opportunities and place a cast. Tide and available light help shape the day's timing and route. Discuss your preferred dates with the crew so they can explain the seasonal outlook and the conditions that matter.
A small-boat experience
Fly trips run on shallow-draft skiffs your guide poles quietly across the flats, so you can spot fish and set up the cast. Confirm the skiff, guide and angler allowance for your chosen date. If your group wants different fishing styles, compare fly fishing with an inshore outing before deciding.
Bring curiosity, whatever your experience
You do not have to arrive with every cast perfected. Your guide will coach you through it with a casting refresher, and fly gear and tackle are supplied. Let the team know whether this is your first saltwater trip or you are working toward a particular goal. If you want to bring your own setup, ask what suits the planned fishing.
