All policies & waivers
Before the trip
The waiver is handled electronically. Ask the crew for the active waiver link if it has not already been provided for your trip.
Do not wait until departure morning if your group has questions about who needs to sign or how minors should be handled.
What the waiver covers
The waiver is tied to passenger and fishing activities connected to Down The Bayou Charters trips.
It includes acknowledgement of risks related to boating, weather, sea conditions, fishing tackle, wildlife, boarding and unboarding, falls, drowning, physical readiness, and other trip conditions.
Captain and crew expectations
DTB’s captains are licensed and legally qualified to take passengers on inshore and offshore fishing charters.
Safety and a memorable trip come first, and guests still acknowledge the inherent risks of fishing and boating.
Review with the group
Each guest should understand the waiver before participating. Parents or guardians should ask the crew how to handle minors before the trip.
If a guest has health, mobility, pregnancy, chronic pain, or other safety concerns, raise those questions before booking or departure.
