Down the Bayou crew went out fishing the Blake Terry Memorial Rodeo this August with our friends from Georgia, but they didn’t expect to sweep the rodeo. Our crew ventured out on a windy morning looking for tuna but instead found big cobia and mangroves. The crew took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in both cobia and mangrove snapper categories.
Also, the “Catalyst” was awarded best boat award and Captain Joey and Austin were awarded best captain award. It was a memorable day on the water to say the least! Most of the rodeos in the Grand Isle/Fourchon area take place in the summer but don’t miss our last rodeo of the year. October 6 and 7 is the annual ladies fishing rodeo. Ladies, bring some big coolers we hope to see you for this weekend.
